Whitney K. Clayton unites diverse teams to build complicated products in technical fields. He has grown three companies, founded multiple international offices, raised over $450M in equity, and built product lines totaling >$350M/yr in sales. Whitney most recently served as GM of Qingdao SyberJet Industrial Technology Co., Ltd. (QSI) to lead development of a vertically integrated business jet manufacturing center in China.
During his 5 years as the CEO of QSI’s parent, MSC Aerospace, Whitney oversaw three divisions, created a China joint venture, and closed a significant investment transaction. Prior to MSC, Whitney founded two consumer products companies, served as a VP with Polaroid Consumer Electronics, and practiced law with Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen and Hamilton.
Whitney earned a B.A. in Chinese from Brigham Young University and a JD/MBA from Columbia University and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Additionally, Whitney has served as a small claims court mediator in NY and UT.
